8/3/2010 Big changes at Knittique!

I've just started Photo/Graphic Design, a company that produces and sells items using my photographs and photo-based artwork. (Go to the About Me page for links to places my work is already being sold.) Knittique is therefore more of a sideline at this point.

There will be some crossover between the two businesses; for instance, I'm designing greeting cards that combine photos of Knittique's exclusive Scraplet Skeins with photos of the colorways' inspirations, in beautiful photo montages. (Click here to see some!) I'll also be taking more photos of yarns and textiles, and incorporating these into my montages and other designs.

As of today, Knittique no longer has a store on eBay; we are still selling yarn there, just not organized as a store. So the items Knittique sells will still show up when you do a search in eBay. If there is a particular item you're looking for, e-mail or call us, and we'll send you a link to that item (assuming we have it for sale).

Speaking of things we're selling... my plan is to offer, say once a month, a new Scraplet Skein colorway, in a single skein big enough to make a large wrap (a larger version of the current Free Pattern). The pattern will be included with the skein. Each skein will be produced in very limited editions; no more than 10 of each colorway, and some skeins may be one-of-a-kind, depending on the availability of the yarns used in the skeins.

I'm planning to introduce the first of these special skeins on September 1, with a photo of it on the Knittique home page, and a link to where it will be auctioned on eBay. After the auction period expires, if more than one of that colorway has been produced, it will be available for sale through the end of the current month.
